History

Boone County Cancer Society was founded in 1955, in a small house in Zionsville, Indiana. The Society serves cancer patients who are residents of Boone County. We are a small non for profit, volunteer organization that supplies financial assistance of $1,000 per cancer patient. As of this date we are now serving 120 cancer patients. We help pay their doctor bills, prescriptions, as well as assist with transportation through Boone County Senior Services. We assist with obtaining wigs, bras, and other necessary items to aid in treatment for cancer patients. We also loan medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers and hospital beds.
